For comfort during dental procedures, we offer nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, along with a local anesthetic. For our more fearful patients, we provide oral conscious sedation, an effective combination of oral sedative and laughing gas that allows most patients to drift into a twilight sleep. You can also listen to your favorite tunes on an iPod during treatment, and ask for a blanket or pillow to make you more comfortable. We don’t do oral sedation. We do sometimes have a dental anesthesiologist come and monitor for conscious sedation.
