Dr. Higginbottom earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma, then continued his studies at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He graduated with honors in 1971, winning the silver medal for Academic and Clinical Excellence.
Dr. Higginbottom is actively involved with clinical dental education and research. He lectures nationally and internationally on Esthetic Dentistry and Dental Implants. He holds faculty positions at two Texas dental schools. At Baylor College of Dentistry, he is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Departments of Oral Surgery and Prosthodontics. He has made a weekly commitment to work with dental residents in Baylor's clinic. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
Doctor Higginbottom has participated in several clinical research projects and has had numerous articles published in the dental literature.
Dr. Higginbottom's lecture schedule gives him the opportunity to present his own clinical material, and also enables him to attend educational programs given by other highly regarded professionals. Meetings attended in the last year include:
Dr. Higginbottom teaches in the undergraduate and graduate departments at Baylor College of Dentistry. This is a weekly commitment by Dr. Higginbottom to stay in the educational process with our students. Dr. Higginbottom also teaches in the graduate departments at the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. Numerous research projects have come out of studies at San Antonio, Baylor and in Dr. Higginbottoms own office.
Dr. Higginbottom has given many presentations to professional groups at dental meetings or at Dental Schools. He is active on the faculty at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Dr. Kimberly Higginbottom Fesler grew up in Dallas and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. She went on to study at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. She was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society and was named to the cumulative Dean’s Honor List upon her graduation.
Dr. Fesler provides general dentistry and restorative dentistry in our practice. She and her husband, Dr. Michael Fesler, have two children.
